In honor of Reentry Month, Community Violence Intervention & Reentry for Safer Communities present “Bridging the Gap” a community event featuring a screening of Pardon Me, followed by a Q&A panel featuring Lakeesha Eure, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety, Strategic Initiatives for Newark, NJ, Perry Shaw, Director of Trenton Community Street & Executive Director of Building a Better Way for Trenton, Dr. Kareem Brown, Director of Pushing Progress Philly, P3, and Shuja Moore, Producer and Director of Pardon Me, Community Advocate and Founder of Do Moore Films.

This event will highlight how Community Violence Intervention (CVI) programs and reentry services work together to reduce gun violence and provide second chances for returning citizens. The goal is to showcase successful collaborations, share best practices, and build stronger networks between CVI organizations, reentry programs, policymakers, and the community. The event is sponsored by the Philadelphia Office of Safe Neighborhoods, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, the Philadelphia Office of Reentry Partnerships, and Pushing Progress Philly (P3).
