Mural Arts Philadelphia Mini-Film Fest: 20 Years of Concrete, Steel, and Paint
Join us for a thought-provoking day of films and discussions marking the 20th anniversary of the film Concrete, Steel, and Paint, directed by Tony Heriza and Cindy Burstein. Through three powerful documentaries, we’ll reflect on the evolution of criminal justice reform, social stigma, and the role of art in bridging divides. Additional films include Paint Me a Road Out of Here by director Catherine Gund, and Pardon Me, directed by Shuja Moore.

The roundtable discussion presented by The Metamorphosis Women’s Empowerment Initiative Rebirth Project of the Poconos will focus on pardons and the expungement (erasure) of criminal convictions in Pennsylvania with a screening of the documentary, Pardon Me.

Join Northeast Treatment Center (NET) for a screening of Pardon Me featuring cast member, Evan Figueroa-Vargas. A nonprofit agency, NET provides a continuum of trauma-informed behavioral health and social services designed to meet the complex needs of all family members.
Pardon Me showcases true stories featuring real Philadelphians and their journeys through receiving a pardon in Pennsylvania and the potential economic impact of pardons on the state.

Join the Young Employee Resource Group (YERG) for a Pardon Me screening and Q&A with individuals who have lived experience.
This screening is open to all City of Philadelphia employees.
Pardon Me is a documentary film by Philadelphia filmmaker Shuja Moore that shows how pardons offer the potential to live as full citizens and how they uplift entire communities. The film features the stories of people going through the pardon process and includes interviews with key civic leaders. Pardon Me sheds light on the importance of addressing the long-lasting impacts of criminal records and the need for a final release from the criminal justice system.

Mass Incarceration Symposium @ The Workshop School
Based in the heart of Philadelphia, The Workshop School is a project-based high school that prioritizes educating the whole student. Rather than relying solely on traditional teaching methods, Workshop takes a project-based approach to learning, allowing students to gain knowledge and hands-on experience through a variety of immersive projects.

Join us at the West Philadelphia Mennonite Fellowship for a special community screening of the award-winning short, Pardon Me, featuring Philadelphians finding their way out of the criminal justice system by way of pardons.
Following the screening, representatives from the West Philly Pardon Network will be available for questions from individuals looking to begin their record-clearing journey and those wishing to volunteer time for this worthy cause.
